RFID Tree Management Solutions

Published byEdith atApril 23,2024

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology has been increasingly utilized in various industries for tracking and managing assets, and it can also be applied to tree management solutions.

What are the applications of RFID nail tags?

It can be easily embedded into trees or wooden containers to mark a variety of assets. It is suitable for all kinds of non-metallic goods management, security inspection, packaging identification, vehicle identification, park management, tree management and other assets identification management system.

According to the feedback from the customer regarding the current nail tags, the following issues were raised:

1) The round head and leg interface of the nail tags are prone to breakage when struck with a hammer.

2) The current operation of the nail tags is cumbersome, requiring pre-drilling holes in wood before insertion.

3) The reading distance of the tags is 1 meter, but the customer requires it to be above 2 meters.

Based on the customer's feedback, suitable materials resistant to low temperatures will be chosen to improve the structure of the existing nail tags, ensuring they do not break when hammered. Additionally, the design will be modified to allow for direct insertion into wood without the need for pre-drilled holes. RFID tags with longer reading distances and appropriate structures will be selected to be embedded inside the nails, ultimately meeting the customer's requirements.

Our RFIDSilicone developed UHF nail tags have longer reading range and larger contact area than traditional nail tags. Traditional RFID nail tags are tags that use RFID technology and are usually fixed on the surface of objects or embedded inside objects to track and identify objects. However, traditional nail tags have small contact area and short reading distance, and can generally only read between 30CM and 1M. Batch tree management is still not convenient. Our UHF nail tags quadruple the read range.
